PRSI and COMAU Italy Open Dialogue on the Future of Robotics in Indonesia

The Indonesian Robotics Association (Persatuan Robotika Seluruh Indonesia/PRSI) welcomed a visit from representatives of the Italian global company COMAU at the PRSI Office in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (January 22). The visit marked an initial momentum to explore strategic collaboration opportunities in the fields of educational and industrial robotics.

COMAU is a multinational company specializing in industrial technology and automation, with a strong focus on the development of industrial robots, intelligent manufacturing systems, and Industry 4.0–based production solutions. The company has extensive experience in supporting various strategic sectors, including automotive, manufacturing, energy, and robotics education development across multiple countries.

During the meeting, PRSI was represented by its President, Wahyu Hidayat; Vice Secretary General, Muhammad Ied; and Head of the Partnership and Cooperation Department, Riksa Rifqi. Meanwhile, COMAU was represented by Chief Customer Officer Giacomo, Del Panta, Head of International Sales Operations, Luca Fameli and representative Chamber of Commerce Italia-Myanmar, Nicole Marantelli.

On this occasion, COMAU presented a range of products and technological solutions developed to support both robotics education and industrial robotics needs. The presentation covered the application of robotics in learning systems, human resource training, and the implementation of automation technologies within the industrial sector.

PRSI President Wahyu Hidayat warmly welcomed the visit and reaffirmed PRSI’s commitment to opening collaborative opportunities with international partners who share a common vision for advancing Indonesia’s robotics ecosystem.

Through this meeting, it is expected that concrete cooperation between PRSI and COMAU can be established, particularly in strengthening robotics education, enhancing the capacity of the younger generation, and fostering the development of a globally competitive national robotics industry.
